By-Law 15: Phi Sigma Phi National Fraternity®, Inc. Statement Of Position Regarding Alcohol Use:The official Alcohol Policy for Phi Sigma Phi National Fraternity®, Inc. shall be as follows:Phi Sigma Phi National Fraternity®, Inc. members shall control alcohol sources at all Phi Sigma Phi National Fraternity®, Inc. functions in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, or policies of the educational institution, or applicable municipal, county, state, province, or federal law. Functions shall be strictly monitored so that persons consuming alcohol shall be of legal age. In addition, no common source of alcohol shall be allowed. Food groups and drinks (other than alcoholic beverages) shall be served at functions when alcohol is served. Those, who in the judgment of Phi Sigma Phi National Fraternity®, Inc. members have consumed too much alcohol, shall be assisted in returning to their campus/off campus base location. This alcohol policy shall be binding upon all Phi Sigma Phi National Fraternity®, Inc. chapters and colonies, and members of Phi Sigma Phi National Fraternity®, Inc. In addition, Phi Sigma Phi National Fraternity®, Inc. encourages all Phi Sigma Phi National Fraternity®, Inc. chapters and colonies to adhere to the guidelines of the Fraternal Insurance Purchasing Group (F.I.P.G.), the National Interfraternity Conference (N.I.C.), and the Fraternal Executive’s Association (F.E.A.) regarding alcohol use.
