FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ON 02/18/2019

West Virginia University Welcomes Phi Sigma Phi to Establish Colony on WVU Campus

[Morgantown, West Virginia, 02/18/2019] – Today, West Virginia University extended a warm welcome to Phi Sigma Phi National Fraternity, Inc., establishing the Fraternity’s newest colony in the Mountain State.

The WVU group – named the Epsilon Chi Colony – will join the ten other chapters and colonies of the organization that lead with the values of honor, justice and wisdom. Epsilon Chi will also be the third colony/chapter to currently reside in West Virginia – joined by chapters at Fairmont State University (Epsilon Zeta) and Concord University (Phi Mu). The Epsilon Chi colony joins a thriving Greek system at West Virginia University and will set to establish itself as a strong member of the Greek and University communities.

When asked to comment on this expansion opportunity, Travis Steinke, Phi Sigma Phi National President, said “. . . [W]e are very excited for the opportunity to spread our fraternity’s values. We have a great group of guys that we call our brothers, so of course we want more campuses to know what we are about, and why Phi Sigma Phi is worth joining.”

Phi Sigma Phi National Fraternity, Inc. was established in 1988, and just celebrated its 30th anniversary Conclave last summer in Chicago, IL. This year, the fraternity will meet with chapters across the country for a weekend in Pittsburgh, PA for its bi-annual Leadership Development Academy (LDA).
