RAPP Sessions are different than a regular, formal meeting and provides an on-the-spot format to confront a Brother who may be living in disregard of Risk Management Policy or Safety Guidelines. This type of meeting is essential within the Big Brother-Little Brother mentoring relationship. We must make responsible decisions and hold ourselves accountable when the outcomes are poor. We must recognize the failure of recklessness and the success of preparedness. To produce the greatest results, the most dependable fraternity, and the strongest Brotherhood, we must want to produce quality and work hard for it.

To manage any group, committee, function, event, or fundraiser we must always air on the side of caution. There are many areas that require direct attention and not to render that attention can produce hazardous environments, embarrassment, and general loss of respect. The way we handle our affairs must be consistent. Our method of operation must be two-pronged: Motivated and Organized. Without both criteria our energy will be unfocused and our resources unused.

Phi Sigma Phi and all social Greek Fraternities are well known entities. We are highly visible. People know us when they see us. We must be innovative, agents of change to combat the stereotypes. We must redefine our own beliefs of what a fraternity is. We must always strive to be professional in all things that we do, in all aspects of college life, in all associations we claim.

Central to management theory are the mission statement and the goals of the organization. Phi Sigma Phi is no different. At the core of Phi Sigma Phi, its most fundamental definition is the concept of self-regulation and personal responsibility. By acknowledging that we are responsible for ourselves, that we are responsible for our own futures, that we are our Brothers’ keeper, we fulfill our promise to Phi Sigma Phi. For responsibility is central to adulthood, and the only key to manhood.

As a fraternity we should always be prepared to do what is required of us: as members, as alumni, as staff. We should serve the best interests of Phi Sigma Phi and its membership at all times. In doing so we pledge to serve our brothers and our fraternity, and protect the freedom, ideals, and future of Phi Sigma Phi whenever necessary.
