On September 18, 2021, the UW-Madison group – named the Alpha Epsilon Colony – will join the ten other chapters and colonies of the organization that lead with the values of honor, justice and wisdom. Alpha Epsilon will also be the third colony/chapter to currently reside in Wisconsin – joined by chapters at University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point (Kappa) and University of Wisconsin – Stout (Omega). When asked to comment on this expansion opportunity, Dustin Blankenship, Phi Sigma Phi National President, said “. . . [W]e are very excited for the opportunity to spread our fraternity’s values and grow our footprint in the State of Wisconsin. We have multiple expansion targets in Wisconsin currently and UW-Madison was a natural fit for our organization. We have a great group of guys that we call our brothers, so of course we want more campuses to know what we are about, and why Phi Sigma Phi is worth joining.”

Phi Sigma Phi National Fraternity, Inc. was established in 1988, and just celebrated its 33rd anniversary at its convention held last summer in Madison, Wisconsin. This year, the fraternity will meet with chapters across the country for a weekend in Dayton, Ohio, for its annual convention and bi-annual Conclave event.

We must find new and special ways to engage our active and alumni membership. We have a history of military service that runs deep in this organization. I am honored to serve as the National President who resided over the creation of this honorary chapter. We hope this will serve as a small token of our appreciation to those brothers who go above and beyond and answer the call.”

Making the day more special, the Delegation from Lambda Chapter of Phi Sigma Phi at Eastern Michigan University, Dean Rockwell’s home chapter brought forth the resolution to form the honorary chapter which went on to be approved unanimously by the voting body of the membership.
